Bunie Nepalse Community
About Us
The Burnie Nepalese Committee, is a vibrant and inclusive organization representing the Nepalese community in Burnie, Tasmania. Established with the vision of bringing people together, our committee serves as a platform to connect, support, and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Nepal while embracing the diversity of Australian society.
Our community is made up of individuals and families who have come to Australia for education, employment, and new opportunities. We aim to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Through mutual support and shared experiences, we strengthen unity and build lasting relationships among community members.
We actively organize and participate in cultural, social, and community events throughout the year. Major Nepalese festivals such as Dashain, Tihar, and Holi are celebrated with enthusiasm, featuring traditional music, dance, food, and cultural performances. These events not only preserve our traditions but also promote cross-cultural understanding within the wider community.
Beyond cultural celebrations, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our members. We assist newcomers in settling into the community, provide guidance when needed, and encourage active participation in local activities. Our goal is to empower individuals while fostering a strong, connected, and supportive community.
At Burnie Nepalese Committee, we believe in unity, respect, and collaboration. We proudly contribute to the multicultural spirit of Tasmania and continue to build bridges between cultures through our shared values and community engagement.
